Meet Our Founder
Hey! I’m Amber Jordan Kenga. I’m the owner of Jordan Signature Event and Destination Designers—your go to travel and event planner Columbia SC. My journey began as a child when my Grandma Jordan would gather everyone together for any and all occasions. I learned the gift of hospitality through her. Hence the name Jordan Signature Events. She would host parties and gatherings all throughout my life. Grandma Jordan loved to celebrate life and what better way than to host parties? To add to the decadence of the events, she would tie in different themes she’d found as she and my Papa traveled to different countries. They often brought back treasures for all of the grandchildren and shared their grand adventures. Experiencing these things as a child grew into a deep desire to bring people together through events and travel, making each memory count. This is how Jordan Signature event planner Columbia SC and Destination Designers was created.
Have you ever experienced an event that had you pondering every detail days later? This is how I started my journey! Grandma Jordan knew how to do that. Sometimes even in the simplest gatherings we would leave feeling like the best gift was our time spent together. This sparked a drive in me to create the same type of events. I’ve been pursuing my passion as an event planner Columbia SC ever since. My goal is to recreate such an event so people walk away in awe of the occasion they just attended. I desire that each participant enjoys good laughter, food, joy and celebration.
Destinations have always brought me renewal, joy, peace, and reset. That, along with Grandma and Papa Jordan’s adventures, led me to incorporate destination designs into my event planner Columbia SC company. The world is full of beautiful things and each inspires me to design and create masterful events and destination getaways. This allows me to bring you the most innovative and up to date styles and designs. At Jordan Signature Events and Destinations we have modern, authentic ideas that exude lavish and extravagance.
I have also been in the educator world for 20 years. This has taught me the importance of planning and working well with others. Many of our team members have also been in the education sector which has helped us develop teamwork and collaboration.
Planning Process
Our team works to help your guests feel the love and support you exude. Things such as signs, greeters, lighting, scent and flow of the party are consistently covered to ensure that your event raises the bar for all others. We will break down the event into manageable parts to help the planning go smoothly. Each event is specific to the type of event it is.
Weddings
Our first steps working with you as your event planner Columbia SC would be finding out your theme, guest count, budget, and your top priorities for your event. This is just creating the essence and feeling of your day. Second, we will then get a venue/date set and work on your guest list. Next would be selecting the vendors for your event. If any problem arises, we will handle it discreetly to help take the dress off of our client. As we consult with you, it is important that you inform us of the purpose for this event. There are various reasons corporate companies have their conferences and events with us. We will work to discuss who the audience will be and how we can best serve you, our client. Are you wanting your audience to attend, be engaged, empowered, or give a moral boost? That’s what we will be discussing as we plan your event. We will then discuss the budget, guest count, how they will attend (in person, virtually, or both), and location venues. Do you want it close to home or at a special destination? We will discuss and nail down key speakers and agenda. Our next steps would be to look at your theme or brand, the flow of the event, guest experience, and the plan for the event. Will there be presentations, or activities for your guests to enjoy? Events sometimes have food provided. Our team will work with you to ensure that all of the details and logistics are worked out. Registrations, transportation, staffing, detailed agenda would be just a few of the logistics we will cover. We have destination designers for clients who want their vacations or honeymoons to be organized and planned for them. We will meet with you to discuss what type of destinations, preferences, and special occasions you will be celebrating. Do you desire private jets, butler services, yacht transfers, or helicopter services? We accommodate our clients’ needs. When we start the preparations and organize your trip, we will discuss every inch of your trip- from the destination to the reservations. Do you need private travel accommodations to and from an airport to your amenities? Our Destination designers will help you plan private tours, guided tours, elegant reservations, and much more. When we have gotten the outline of the desired destination, we will prepare the logistics. We aim to make your escape a stress free event. Leave the planning to us.
I am very passionate about helping create the best event for you, your friends and family. Our event planner Columbia SC designers are just that, people who enjoy making lasting memories through designs. We use your vision and our knowledge to create life changing experiences. My education background has propelled me to be able to handle logistics and create memorable events. I also have a masters in Divergent Learning. I believe this will help me curate a better design for your event as it allows me to work with all different types of people and coordinate all of the logistics with my clients needs in mind. Traveling to different countries has also led me to be very adaptable in my life. This makes me relatable and down to earth. Columbia, SC has a lot to offer along with the surrounding areas of Camden, Lexington, and Irmo.
